Emperor Cruises Legacy Halong Bay: 10-Suite Royal-Themed Boutique Cruise with Jacuzzi Bathtubs
Emperor Cruises Legacy Halong Bay is a 10-suite boutique cruise run by Emperor Cruises, part of Lux Cruises Group, that recreates the style of Emperor Bao Dai’s court in the 1930s. It sails from Tuan Chau Marina on the classic Halong Bay route to Me Cung Cave and Luon Cave, on a 2-day Emperor Experience or a 3-day Emperor Hideaway that adds Viet Hai Village and Lan Ha Bay.
With ten suites on a 58-metre ship, there are rarely more than twenty adults on board, and eight of the ten suites have a private balcony and a jacuzzi bathtub. Prices start from US$468 per suite for two (2 days 1 night, high season 2027). It is one of our top Halong Bay luxury cruises, booked with our Best Price Guarantee.

What Makes Emperor Cruises Legacy Halong Bay Different
A floating tribute to the last emperor
Every suite is named after a palace or villa of Emperor Bao Dai – the King and Queen Suites, Nha Trang, Da Lat, Hue and Vung Tau, Do Son and Lak Lake, Hanoi and Saigon. Dark wood panelling, period furniture and Nguyen-dynasty artwork run through the ship, and the crew offers an art and history talk on board.

Only ten suites
Many Halong Bay ships carry several dozen guests. Here ten suites mean one small group at every excursion, a quiet sundeck and very personal service. The whole ship can also be chartered for a family or a wedding party.
Jacuzzi bathtubs and private balconies
The Signature, State and Royal Suites all have a private balcony and a jacuzzi bathtub facing the bay; the two Royal Suites add a 10 m² balcony and butler service. The Hanoi and Saigon Suites have ocean-view windows and a bathtub but no balcony.

- The Hanoi and Saigon Suites have no balcony; pay a little more for a Signature Suite if a balcony matters
- Bring comfortable clothes for the 06:00 Vovinam session and shoes with grip for Me Cung Cave
- Tell us about birthdays and anniversaries – the crew can set up a private dinner on deck
